Bryant, Duncan, and Garnett Headline 2020 HOF Class!
Amidst all of the chaos going around the sports world and the NBA, fans have a little thing to cheer for as the Hall of Fame class of 2020 has been announced. This class includes NBA greats like:
5x Champion, 2x Finals MVP, and 18x All Star Kobe Bryant. Bryant did so much in his career and there are many great moments in his career. Bryant of course was killed in the helicopter crash on January 26th, killing 9 people in total. Bryant will be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA.
5x Champion, 3x Finals MVP, and 15x All Star Tim Duncan. Duncan was the simplest player probably ever. He never did anything flashy, nothing to get him huge fame. He is one of the quietest superstars in NBA History. But the Big Fundamental and the Spurs created a dynasty that lasted almost two decades, winning them 5 rings and showing the league a new type of consistency.
1x Champion, 1x MVP, and 15x All Star Kevin Garnett. Garnett came straight out of high school and was selected 5th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He immediately turned the franchise into a contender, leading them to the Western Conference Finals in 2003-04. He left the T-Wolves for Boston and won a ring with Paul Pierce in 2008. He will be remembered as one of the best defensive players of all time and one of the best big men to ever play the game.
Rudy Tomjanovich coached the Houston Rockets to 2 NBA Championships in the 90’s. He won a total of 527 games as a coach. Rudy was a 5x All-Star as a player and averaged 17.4 points and 8.1 rebounds.
10x WNBA All Star and 4x Olympic Gold Medalist Tamika Catchings. Catchings is one of the greatest women’s basketball players ever. Catchings averaged 16.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals for her career.
Those were the main highlights from the 2020 Hall of Fame Class. Where does this class stack up with former classes? Who is the best player inducted this year?
