Limited Amount Of NBA Facilities Re-Opening
Yesterday, the NBA announced that they would be opening up team facilities in the states that had removed their stay at home restrictions.
As of late, some states have chosen to re-open some of the business that have been closed for about a month. In these states, the NBA has decided to open up the team facilities, but only in the states where the restrictions have been lifted. This will start on May 1st.
This is a step in the right direction, but many teams and players are still not able to practice. Also, the facilities are limited to one person at a time, not a whole team, which makes sense.
It is becoming increasingly possible that the NBA season is cancelled. With 90% of all facilities closed, the NBA playoffs are continually getting pushed further and further back, until we will just have to cancel them all together.
But, this is good news nonetheless as some players get to shake off the rust of not being able to play for over a month now. We are getting closer to everybody in the world being safe and allowed to continue their normal routines and lives.
