Are The Clippers A Title Contender?
The Clippers lost Game 5, a game they should have won. The game showed their key flaws. Are they really a title contender?

The Clippers dominated for most of Game 5 against the Nuggets. And yet they still lost. Why?
I think that the Clippers can’t seem to stay focused, a major flaw for teams fighting for a ring. Usually, a team as good as the Clippers would dominate most nights. And you see that from time-to-time. Their defense and offense can be the best in the league. And yet they handicap themselves by simply not caring.
And it’s very frustrating to watch. I picked the Clippers to win it all because of their roster and players on that roster who are very good and can win a title. The Clippers have the best roster in the NBA. And yet they mail it in sometimes, and they can’t afford to do that.
I said to myself, they would get better, more consistent as the games meant more. Wrong. Games 2 and 5 of this series vs Denver have been letdowns, and the Nuggets took advantage.
So the Clippers have not seemed to realize the importance of these games, and with a double-digit lead in the 2nd half, they failed to win the game and series.
The Clippers will likely win Game 6 and the series, but going on into the Conference Finals and the Finals if they move on, the Clippers haven’t showed anybody that they are capable of coming out with energy every game. We know what they are capable of and we know how good they are. They just don’t show it 50% of the time.
So while I still have the Clippers winning the title, I’m a little worried about them and their inability to be consistent every single game. We’ll see how the Clippers play in Game 6 vs the Nuggets, and the rest of the postseason.
