Super Duos > Super Teams
Flashback: 2016: KD had just signed with the Warriors, making him the most hated player of all time and creating a super team.
2019: KD has left the Warriors to go to the Nets.
After winning that many titles, you would think that he would want to stay, but with too many good players, it can become difficult to like each and play with one an other. Now that perhaps the best super team has been demolished, the NBA has moved away from a whole team of stars, into just 2 really good players with a good/solid supporting cast. Today I will review all the super duos in the NBA and ranking them from worst to best.
#12: James Harden and Russell Westbrook: No Chemistry
#11: Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum: Good, but not good enough to go to the ECF and the Finals.
#10: Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell: Mike Conley coming out of his prime, Donovan Mitchell not yet in his prime.
#9: Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid: No chemistry, and with some more chemistry, would be a really good young duo.
#8: Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis: Have not played together, and if they played together for a while, they have the chance to be really good.
#7: Lebron James and AD: They are both very talented, but the chemistry needs work if they want to be good. Won’t make the Finals this year, but in a year or two, they will be really good and dangerous.
#6: Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving: Kyrie cannot be a leader, only the #2, and for year 1 he will have to be the leader. I think when KD comes back, it might take 1 year for him to get good and in a few years of playing with each other, the Nets could be one of the best teams in the NBA.
#5 Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum: After years of everybody saying that it would not work, Dame and CJ made it to the WCF. If they have the right supporting cast around them, then this duo could still be a threat in the West.
#4: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson: Thompson is not healthy and without KD or most of their supporting cast, the Splash Bros will still be great, but that may not add up to wins.
#3: Giannis Antetokoumpo and Khris Middleton: Last year the Bucks almost made it to the NBA Finals and now with almost the same team and the East wide open, this could be the Bucks chance to win a championship.
#2: Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray: Jokic is the best big guy in the league, with his inside and outside scoring and passing, with Jamal Murray playing off of the ball, they are the perfect compliments for each other. Now with the west up for grabs, this duo will be one of the front-runners this year for the title.
#1: Kawhi Leonard and Paul George: The Clippers have the best player in the league, as well as the two best 2-way wings in Kawhi and George. They are both great offensive and defensive players, but they also have the best supporting cast of all these duos with Patrick Beverley, Landry Shamet, and the best bench duo, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell.
I hope you agree with my picks for all of these duos, and please watch this YouTube video from Colin Cowherd, where I got most of information.

For Luca and Kris you got a Grammer mistake at the end ” could be really good “, but should be “,it could be good”. Nice writing, but you should also talk about possible better duo’s like Curry and Russell could be great!
Thanks for the grammar fix, hope you enjoyed the post.
