All Playoff Games Boycotted! 8.26.20

All playoff games today have been boycotted because of the recent events involving Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.

In light of recent events involving Jacob Blake, a man from Wisconsin who was shot by police, the NBA has decided to postpone all of the Game 5’s today. Bucks vs Magic, Thunder vs Rockets, and Lakers vs Blazers have all been postponed and will be played at a later date.

The Raptors and Celtics had discussed boycotting yesterday, but their series would start in a week. But the NBA, and specifically the Bucks have decided to cancel all games today.

Their was a meeting held between the NBA Players and others, and there was a weird outcome. It was reported that both LA teams didn’t want to continue the season. Not only are they some of the best teams, they are the favorites to win it all. The end of the meeting ended ugly as others said how could the season go on without both LA teams. The two LA teams saying they didn’t want to play was more of a poll, than an actual vote. Every other team present voted to continue on with the season.

There will be more meetings in the near future as we wait and see how the NBA season will continue amidst all that is happened throughout the country.

In other news, Nate McMillan has been fired by the Pacers in a surprising move. McMillan had been with the team since 2016 and had found lots of success with the team. They were very unlucky and were never able to make it past the 1st round.
