Davis To LA!

OK, well a weird start to the NBA off season, literally a few days after the NBA Finals ended, the Lakers and Pelicans finally came towards a deal involving Anthony Davis.

The final deal was the Lakers would send Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and 3 first-round picks, including #4 in this years draft for Anthony Davis. The Pelicans really stretched their value out of this trade, without even using a third team. They get Lonzo Ball, the replacement for a declining Jrue Holiday, who is now 29. Brandon Ingram will play SF for the Pels, alongside Julius Randle. They now have picks #1 and #4 at their hands, and #4 could be used in a trade. So their starting lineup could be something like this, Lonzo at the point, Josh Hart or whoever they draft at the shooting guard, Zion or Ingram at the 3, Julius Randle or Zion at the 4, they could go small and play all 3 wings and put Julius Randle at the 5, or they can draft a center.

After months of speculation of where Davis could go and what the Lakers or Celtics were willing to give up, the Lakers finally made their move. Another interesting case is that they valued Kyle Kuzma over Ingram. Lavar Ball’s ego will come alive, overshadowed by Lebron in LA.
