NBA Finals Game 3

Pre Game: It’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals as both teams need a win to go up 2-1 in the series.

Game 1: It’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals as we have #1 Golden State vs #2 Toronto from Golden State. The Warriors won a hard fought Game 2 up north as Andre Igoudala came up with the dagger in the last few seconds. The Warriors will we wounded as they head into Game 3. Kevin Durant will not play, and he has not played a game since Game 5 of the Conference semifinals. Some might wonder that could have been Durant’s last game as a Warriors. The Warriors will also be without Klay Thompson who has been dealing with a hamstring injury since Game 2. Kevon Looney will likely be out for the rest of the Finals, as he suffered a non-displaced first costal cartilage fracture, whatever that means. So, Stephen Curry and Demarcus Cousins will have to do all the scoring for the Warriors. The Raptors have no notable injuries and look to bounce back and win back the home-court. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Raptors led by 7, 36-29. Leonard and Green both had 9 points, Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 17. The Warriors need some help for Curry in the later stages of the game because if the Raptors stop just Curry and nobody else in contributing, then the game is all but over. At halftime, the Raptors led by 8, 60-52. Lowry and Siakam combined for 29 points. Stephen Curry had 25 points for the Warriors. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green led the charge for the Raptors as they opened up a lead, leading 96-83 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Raptors starting 5 combined for 86 points. Stephen Curry had 40 entering the 4th. The Raptors managed to push the lead in the 4th, make timely shots and eventually won 123-109 over the defending champs. Siakam, Leonard, Gasol, Lowry Green and VanVleet all had double-figures for the Raptors, Stephen Curry had 47 for the Warriors. Curry had literally no help from anybody else and the Warriors will be desperate for either Klay Thompson or Kevin Durant to return in Game 4, otherwise the curtains may be closed for the Warriors. The Raptors played well night, a balanced attack and they now take a 2-1 series lead over the champs and take back home-court.
