NBA Free Agency Starts: Day 1
After all the hype, all the star studded players from around the league who might be looking for a fresh start, it all happens now. I have not been doing posts about all the rumors because their have been too many, I will just be reporting which rumors actually become the truth. NBA Free Agency starts at 6 PM et (3 PM pt).
Kemba Walker: Walker has agreed to sign with the Boston Celtics, a move that will make him the replacement for Kyrie Irving. Walker is expected to sign a 4 year, $141 million dollar max contract with the Celtics.
Damian Lillard: Damian Lillard is agreeing to signing a 6 year, $258 million dollar super maximum extenson. Lillard has always been loyal to Portland, and after getting the Blazers to the Conference Finals and the Warriors dynasty crumbling, this could be the opportunity for Lillard to win a ring.
Kyrie Irving: Kyrie Irving is leaving Boston and sign a 4 year, $141 million dollar max contract with the Brooklyn Nets. After the Nets get Kyrie, they will renounce D’Angelo Russell, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Nikola Vucevic: Vucevic is resigning with the Magic on a 4 year, $100 million dollar deal.
Kevin Durant: KD will sign with the Nets on a 4 year, $164 million dollar deal to team up with Kyrie Irving.
Klay Thompson: Klay Thompson is going to resign with the Warriors on a 5 year, $190 million dollar contract. Thompson will probably not play next year, recovering from a torn ACL he got in the NBA Finals.
Brook Lopez: Lopez is going to sign a 4 year, $52 million dollar contract with the Bucks.
Dwight Powell: 3 year, $33 million dollar deal to resign with the Mavs.
Jonas Valanciunas: Jonas is going to sign a 3 year, $45 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Garrett Temple: Temple to sign a 2 year, $10 million dollar deal. He will play with KD and Kyrie in Brooklyn.
Nikola Mirotic: He is leaving the NBA to play with Barcelona.
Dwayne Dedmon: Going to sign a 3 year, $40 million dollar deal with the Kings.
Terry Rozier: Rozier is going to sign a 3 year, $58 million dollar deal with the Hornets.
Nicolo Melli: Euroleague Forward is getting a 2 year, $8 million dollar deal from the Pelicans.
Khris Middleton: Middleton is going to resign with the Bucks on a 5 year, $178 million dollar contract.
Harrison Barnes: Barnes will resign with the Kings on a 4 year, $85 million dollar contract.
JJ Reddick: JJ has agreed to sign a 2 year, $26.5 million dollar deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. He will most likely come of the bench for the young Pelicans.
Derrick Rose: D-Rose is signing a 2 year, $15 million dollar deal with the Detroit Pistons.
Terrence Ross: Ross has agreed to a 4 year, $54 million dollar deal to come back to the Magic.
Al-Farouq Aminu: Aminu is signing a 3 year, $29 million dollar deal with the Orlando Magic. As a Blazers fan, big piece to lose.
Kristaps Porzingis: Will sign a 5 year, $158 million dollar deal to stay with the Mavericks.
Danuel House: House is agreeing to a 3 year, $11.1 million dollar deal to stay in Houston.
Bojan Bogdanovic: He is signing a 4 year, $73 million dollar deal with the Jazz. The Jazz have now added Mike Conley and Bojan, making them real contenders in the West.
Malcolm Brogdon: Indiana is send a first round pick and two 2nd round picks to the Bucks for PG Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon is agreeing to a 4 year, $85 million dollar deal with the Pacers.
Jeremy Lamb: Lamb is agreeing to a 3 year, $31.5 million dollar deal with the Pacers.
Thomas Bryant: Bryant is agreeing to a 3 year, $25 million dollar deal to return to the Washington Wizards.
Rodney Hood: Hood will return to the Blazers on a 2 year, $16 million dollar deal. Now with Bazemore and Hood, the Blazers have a solid bench and will continue to be contenders in the West.
Ricky Rubio: Rubio has agreed to a 3 year, $51 million dollar deal with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns finally get a PG that they desperately need.
Trevor Ariza: Ariza is going to sign a 2 year, $25 million dollar deal with the Kings.
Tobias Harris: Harris is going to sign a 5 year, $180 million dollar deal to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Mike Scott: Scott with return to Philadelphia with a 2 year, $9.8 million dollar deal.
DeMarre Carroll: Carroll has agreed to a 2 year, $13 million dollar deal with the San Antonio Spurs.
Julius Randle: Randle has agreed to a 3 year, $63 million dollar deal with the New York Knicks.
George Hill: Hill will accept a 3 year, $29 million dollar deal to stay with the Bucks.
Taj Gibson: Gibson will sign a 2 year, 420 million dollar deal with the New York Knicks.
Al Horford: Horford leaves the Celtics and gets a 4 year, $109 million dollar contract from the 76ers.
Jimmy Butler: Philadelphia sent Jimmy Butler to Miami. Butler has signed a 4 year, $142 million dollar deal with the Heat.
DeAndre Jordan: Jordan agrees to a 4 year, $40 million dollar deal with the Nets.
Ed Davis: Davis has agreed to a 2 year, $10 million dollar deal with the Utah Jazz.
Goran Dragic: Dragic has been traded to the Mavericks in part of a 3 team trade. Miami traded him for cap space to get Jimmy Butler.
Mario Hezonjia: Mario Hezonjia has agreed to a 1 year minimum contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, adding another wing to the bench.
D’Angelo Russell: Russell is going to the Golden State Warriors, accepting a 4 year, $117 million dollar contract. They will have to move some cap space for this to work.
Andre Iguodala: Iguodala has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies with a Warriors are sending a 2024 protected first-round pick in the 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected.
