Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner

Yesterday, the NBA announced that starting on May 1st, that some of the team facilities that were in states that has eased their stay-at-home orders could return to team facilities.

Today, the NBA said that they will push back the date that the facilities will be opened, to May 8th.

The facilities will only be open if the state that they are in have eased their stay-at-home orders.

The rules are, that players must wear face masks at all time except when in physical activity. Staff workers need to be wearing gloves, and they need to be distancing at least 12 feet. Only 4 players can be in the facility at once, no coaches are allowed, and their are no scrimmages allowed.

The NBA is now getting closer to getting the season back, but there are still lots of facilities that can’t be opened. The NBA is still trying to get the NBA season back, but is it too little, too late?
