Playoffs Day 19

Pre Game: We only have 1 game on the schedule tonight, Game 2 of #2 Denver vs #3 Portland. Denver played well and won Game 1. The Blazers now look to make adjustments and win Game 2 on the road. The Nuggets look to extend the series lead to 2-0 before heading back to Portland.

Game 1: It’s the only game tonight as #2 Denver looks to take a 2-0 series lead over #3 Portland. Jokic was great in Game 1, scoring 37 points and leading the Nuggets to the win. Damian Lillard had 39 points, Kanter and Rodney Hood helped, but that was about it for the Blazers. CJ McCollum needs to step up if the Blazers want any chance of winning this game. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Blazers were up by 5, 28-23. Enes Kanter had 9 points, Gary Harris and Malik Beasley both had 6 for the Nuggets. The Blazers were doubling Jokic in the post, making him less effective. The Blazers will have to hope that the open shooter misses the shot that the defense gives him. At the half, the Blazers led by 15, 50-35. Enes Kanter had 11 points, Harris and Beasley both had 8 points. At the end of the 3rd, the Blazers led 78-64. Enes Kanter had 15 points, Malik Beasley had 13 points. The Blazers managed to win, 97-90. CJ McCollum had 20 points, Nikola Jokic had 16 points. The Blazers managed to hold off the pesky Nuggets off their tails, and managed to tie the series 1-1. Now the series shifts back to Portland for games 3 & 4. The Blazers look to take advantage of the home-court.
