Playoffs Day 21
Pre Game: We have 2 games on the schedule, #1 Milwaukee vs #4 Boston and #2 Denver vs #3 Portland. Both of these series are tied at 1-1.
Game 1: In Game 1, we have #1 Milwaukee vs #4 Boston. Boston won Game 1 in a blowout and Milwaukee won Game 2 in a blowout. Now the series shifts back to Boston as the series is tied 1-1. Malcolm Brogdon will not be available for Game 3 for the Bucks. At the end of the 1st, the Celtics led by 5, 30-25. Kyrie Irving had 13 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 8 points for the Bucks. At halftime, the Celtics only led by 1, 56-55. Kyrie Irving had 13, Giannis had 14 for the Bucks. The Bucks managed to hang on and win 123-116. Giannis had 32 points, Kyrie had 29 for the Celtics. The Bucks now reclaim home-court and take a 2-1 series lead. The Celtics now need to win Game 4 at home to avoid going down 3-1 in the series.
Game 2: In the 2nd game of the night, #2 Denvers goes to #3 Portland. Portland won a tough Game 2 on the road, 97-90. The series is tied 1-1 and the winner will go up 2-1. At the end of the 1st, the Blazers had a 6 point lead, 23-17. Damian Lillard had 6 points, Paul Millsap had 5 points. At halftime, the Blazers only led by 1, 48-47. Damian Lillard had 10 points, Jamal Murray had 16 points for the Nuggets. Both team struggled from the field and it looks like the game might be looking like Game 2 again. The game was tied 102-102 at the end of regulation. This is the first overtime game of the 2019 NBA Playoffs so far. At the end of the 1st overtime, the game was tied at 109. At the end of the 2nd overtime, the game was again tied at 118. This will the 8th triple-overtime in NBA Playoff History. At the end of the 3rd overtime, the game was tied 129-129. This is the 1st quadruple overtime game in the NBA Playoffs since 1953: Boston vs Philadelphia. With 17.8 seconds left, Rodney Hood hit a 3 to give the Blazers a 138-136. Rodney scored the last 7 points for the Blazers. The Blazers hung on to win 140-137 after 4-OT. CJ McCollum had 41 points, 28 for Damian Lillard and Rodney Hood had 19 points. Jamal Murray had 34 points, Nikola Jokic had 33 points, Will Barton had 22 points. This playoff game will go down as one of the most memorable, and the 2nd memorable game for the Blazers this year; Game 5 of the 1st round against the Thunder when Damian Lillard hit the game winner to win the series. The Blazers now take a 2-1 series lead over the Nuggets, in a game which Nikola Jokic played over 60 minutes, and multiple players from both team, so it will interesting on how the teams will play on Sunday. Well, this game shows us one thing, why we watch the NBA.
