Playoffs Day 23

Pre Game: It’s the 23rd day of the NBA Playoffs and we have 2 games on the schedule, #2 Toronto vs #3 Philadelphia and #2 Denver vs #3 Portland.

** I was not able to watch the first game: Toronto vs Philadelphia

Game 1: In the first game of the night, #2 Toronto looks to tie the series 2-2 as they face #3 Philadelphia on the road. Pascal Siakam will play, though he will be dealing with a calf injury. Kawhi Leonard and company took care of business on the road, and won by 5, 101-96. Kawhi Leonard had 39 points, Jimmy Butler had 29 points. Toronto and Philadelphia are now tied 2-2 in the series as Game 5 is back in Toronto.

Game 2: In the 2nd game, it’s Game 4 of #2 Denver vs #3 Portland. These two teams gave us one of the greatest playoffs games ever in Game 3, a 4 OT game that saw Portland win 140-137 behind CJ McCollum’s 41. The Nuggets now need to take Game 4 to tie the series 2-2 or they would fall to a daunting 3-1 series deficit. At the end of the 1st, the Blazers led by 4, 33-29. Damian Lillard and Al-Farouq Aminu both had 10 points, Jamal Murray had 13 points for the Nuggets. At halftime, the Blazers led by 6, 63-57. Seth Curry, Lillard, Aminu and McCollum combined for 51 points. Jokic, Murray and Millsap combined for 40 points. The refs gave every single call they could have given against the Blazers, and the Blazers trailed by 7, 84-77. Jamal Murray had 22 points, CJ McCollum had 18 points. With 52.7 seconds left, the score was 110-107 with the Nuggets up by 3. The Nuggets managed to hang on and win 116-112. Jamal Murray had 35 points, CJ McCollum had 29 points. The Nuggets managed to win Game 4 and tie up the series 2-2 as Game 5 shifts back to Denver.
