It’s Day 25 of the Playoffs and we have one game today, Game 6 between the Clippers and the Nuggets.

LA Clippers

The Clippers lost Game 6 against the Nuggets. Here is what I thought about their performance.

After blowing the lead in the 3rd quarter of Game 5 against Denver, the Clippers looked to win the series in 6 games and avoid a Game 7. And the Clippers played a great 1st half. They led by 16 at halftime and looked to cruise to another victory. But again, the Clippers blew it. They scored just 16 points in the 3rd, and they got outscored by 14. And the Clippers couldn’t pick it up as they got outscored by 15 more in the 4th. LA lost 111-98 and the series is now tied 3-3.

Offensively the Clippers were solid as they shot 41% from the field and 37% from 3. LA was also 24/27 from the free throw line. The Clippers had 13 turnovers. The Clippers also had 38 points in the paint.

Defensively the Clippers were terrible as Denver shot 54% from the field and 48% from 3. Denver was also 19/27 from the free throw line. The Clippers forced 14 turnovers. LA also allowed 40 points in the paint.

Paul George had 33 points and 6 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard had 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Lou Williams had 14 points off the bench and JaMychal Green added 11 points off the bench as well.

Conclusion

The Clippers blow another double-digit lead as they can’t seem to hold on and win a game. The Clippers again seemed to lose energy and allow the Nuggets back into the game. So now the Clippers enter Game 7 territory as they just don’t seem interested. The Clippers now have a chance to blow this series and it’ll be interesting to see how they look in Game 7.

Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets won Game 6 against the Clippers. Here is what I thought about their performance.

The Nuggets came from behind to win in Game 5 and now had some life in the series. While they still had to fight an uphill battle, but Denver had been there before. In Game 6, it was a near identical game to Game 5. The Nuggets fell behind by 16 at halftime, but didn’t stop fighting. The Nuggets outscored LA by 14 in the 3rd quarter and found themselves back in the game. The Nuggets started the 4th off hot and they won 111-98 and the series is now tied 3-3.

Offensively the Nuggets were great as they shot 54% from the field and 48% from 3. Denver was also 19/27 from the free throw line. The Nuggets had 14 turnovers. Denver also had 40 points in the paint.

Defensively the Nuggets were solid as LA shot 41% from the field and 37% from 3. LA was also 24/27 from the free throw line. The Nuggets forced 13 turnovers. The Nuggets also allowed 38 points in the paint.

Nikola Jokic had 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jamal Murray had 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Gary Harris added 16 points. Michael Porter Jr. had 13 points and 7 rebounds off the bench and Monte Morris had 10 points off the bench as well.

Conclusion

The Nuggets stage another come from-behind win as they tie the series 3-3. The Nuggets have all the momentum in this series as they look to upset LA. The Nuggets know what to do and are comfortable playing from behind. Lets see how they do in Game 7.
