Playoffs Day 28
Pre Game: Welcome back to the NBA Playoffs, and in today’s blog we will cover what I missed and which games will be playing tonight.
Tuesday: Toronto 125- Philadelphia 89. Toronto blew out Philadelphia to take a 3-2 series lead.
Denver 124-Portland 98. Glad I did not watch this as this game was not close and Denver blew out Portland to take a 3-2 series lead.
Wednesday: Milwaukee 116-Boston 91. Milwaukee lost Game 1, but won the next 4 to win the series, the first team to advance to the Conference Finals. It will be interesting to see how Boston will do in the off-season and if they make any changes.
Golden State 104-Houston 99. Golden State won a close Game 5 and now take a 3-2 series lead.
Thursday: Philadelphia 112-Toronto 101. Philadelphia won Game 6 and tied up the series 3-3 to force Game 7 in Toronto.
Portland 119-Denver 108. Portland evened up the series with a win at home and now force Game 7 back in Denver.
Game 1: In the one and only game on the schedule tonight, #1 Golden State vs #4 Houston in Game 6. The Warriors won a closely contested Game 5 and now look to close out the Rockets in 6 games. The Rockets look to win on their home floor and force Game 7. Kevin Durant will not play because he strained his calf in Game 5. He will be re-evaluated in 1 week. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Rockets led by 1, 28-27. James Harden had 14 points and Klay Thompson had 10 points for the Warriors. At halftime, the scored was tied 57-57. Klay Thompson had 21 points for the Warriors and James Harden had 19 for the Rockets. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Rockets led by 5, 87-82. Harden and Paul combined for 44 points, Klay Thompson had 24 points for the Warriors. The Warriors played a great 4th quarter and won 118-113. Stephen Curry had all 33 of his points in the 2nd half and 27 points were contributed 27 points. James Harden had 35 points, and Chris Paul had 27. For the 2nd straight year, the Warriors are advancing to the next round after having defeated the Houston Rockets on the road. The Warriors now advance to the Western Conference Finals for the 5th straight year and they hope that Kevin Durant will get better and get back in time for the Conference Finals.
