Playoffs Day 3

PREGAME: Today we have the Game 2’s in two series, #3 Philadelphia vs #6 Brooklyn in the East and #1 Golden State vs #8 Los Angeles Clippers in the West. Philadelphia looks to bounce back after a Game 1 loss at home and the Warriors look to continue to assert their dominance. Embiid is still having knee problems, and in my opinion, he should sit out because if they make it past the Nets, then Embiid may not be healthy to play in the 2nd of 3rd rounds of the playoffs, and it might affect his career, so if I’m the 76ers, you need to rest and sit Embiid.

In other news, Deandre Hunter, Ty Jerome and Zion Williamson among notable names declaring for the NBA Draft.

In the 1st game of the night, we see Game 2 of #3 Philadelphia vs #6 Brooklyn. Philadelphia looks to bounce back from a Game 1 loss. The 76ers decided to play Embiid. Embiid has to play better, not shoot so many 3’s, and be paint oriented, set the tone for Philly.

GAME 1 REPORT: Philly got off to a great start and led by 6 at the end of the 1st, 34-28. Ben Simmons and Reddick led the way for Philly, D’Angelo Russell led the way with 10 points for Brooklyn. At the end of the 1st half, the 76ers were up by 1. Ben Simmons had 16 points and Boban Marjanovic added 14. D’Angelo Russell had 16 for Brooklyn, Spencer Dinwiddie added 11 points off the bench. Embiid and Kurucs both received Flagrant 1 fouls in the 2nd quarter. The 76ers scored 51 in the 3rd quarter and led by 29, 116-89. Joel Embiid had 21 points and Ben Simmons had 18 points. Spencer Dinwiddie had 19 points for Brooklyn and Russell added 16 points. The 76ers blew out the Nets by 22, 145-123. Joel Embiid had 23 points and Tobias Harris had 19 points. D’Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie combined for 35 points for the Nets.

GAME 2 REPORT: In the 2nd and final game of the night, we see the #1 Golden State Warriors vs #8 Los Angeles Clippers. I did not even watch this game for long, but early in the 1st quarter, Demarcus Cousins tripped and fell and hurt his groin/thigh area. Charles Barkley said it looked like a blown out quad. I hope he is wrong. Boogie has worked hard to get back into shape and to have another season-ending injury, it would be devastating. By the end of the half, the Warriors were up big, 73-50. Curry had 22 points, Kevon Looney had 14 points. Patrick Beverly had 10 points for the Clippers, Montrezl Harrell added 8 points. By the end of the 3rd, the Warriors were up 108-94. Curry had 22 points, and Kevon Looney added 19. Lou Williams had 24 points, Danilo Gallinari added 16 points. The Clippers somehow completed the miraculous comeback and won 135-131. Lou Williams had 36 points, Montrezl Harrell had 25 points. Stephen Curry had 29 points and KD had 21 points.

I hope you enjoyed the 3rd day of the Playoffs and for Playoff Day 4, we have 3 games. Leave a comment on how your team is doing and enjoy the rest of the NBA season!
