After two games from Day 9 of the NBA Playoffs, I’m giving my thoughts on some topics that arose. Today I will be talking about the LA Clippers.

After two games from Day 9 of the NBA Playoffs, I’m giving my thoughts on some topics that arose. Today I will be talking about the LA Clippers.

LA Clippers

The Clippers have been very interesting. After a Game 1 victory against the Mavs in which everybody was healthy and PG-13 and Kawhi Leonard were playing well.

But in Game 2, Patrick Beverley was out and PG-13 struggled. The Clippers lost.

In Game 3, Beverley was again out, and PG-13 again struggled. The Clippers won.

In Game 4, Beverley was out, PG-13 struggled, and the Clippers couldn’t guard Luka Doncic. And the Clippers lost.

So the Clippers were in a 2-2 series entering Game 5 and they needed a win to re-assert their dominance. And they did just that. PG-13 had 35 points as the Clippers beat the Mavs 154-111 in Game 5.

But you have to wonder, where was this? We all knew that this is what the Clippers were capable of, it’s just that they didn’t do it for most of this series. While the Mavericks are a good team, the Clippers really should have handled them. This series should have been 4,5, and maybe even 6 games.

But it should not have gotten as close as it is. Nonetheless, we will have to see if Paul George is capable of doing this again, and throughout the playoffs. If he can, the Clippers will win the title. If not, then you will have some problems.

Similar to the Lakers, you know what the Clippers can do. When players like PG-13 have a bad stretch, it’s frustrating because you know they can do better. That’s why it’s important for LA to string multiple games like this in a row. Otherwise there will no chance for a ring.

I think that we should keep monitoring PG-13 throughout the rest of this series and the 2nd round. If he is consistently good, then the Clippers will be fine. Put if Playoff P returns, then the Clippers will sink.
