Who Is The Best Player From The 2015 Draft Class?

Today I will be naming the best player from the 2015 Draft Class.

Today I am continuing the series where I name the 3 best players from each draft class, and today we are doing the 2015 Draft Class.

#3 – Kristaps Porzingis
Dallas Mavericks – #4 Pick

Although Porzingis has been injured for a majority of the past two seasons, he is one of the most talented players from this draft. Porzingis combines his height of 7′ 3″ and guard like abilities into some sort of 7 foot guard. Porzingis is unlike anything we have seen in the NBA.

This season, Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points and 9.5 rebounds. He is shooting 42% from the field and 34.9% from 3.

Although Kristaps is not shooting great from the field, he is still coming off of a major injury. And remember that knee injuries like the one that he sustained could be detrimental to big men. But, Porzingis seems to be almost back in his old form, and his unique style of play combining shooting and height could revolutionize the game.

#2 – Karl Anthony Towns
Minnesota Timberwolves – #1 Pick

Towns was the #1 pick in this draft, and he was one of the best center prospects that we have seen in a while. Like Porzingis, Towns has lots of guard like skills in his bag of tricks, but also plays like a big men. Towns has had his up and down seasons, but he talent is undeniable.

This season, Towns is averaging 26.5 points and 10.8 rebounds. He is shooting 50.8% from the field and 41.2% from 3.

Towns is an excellent shooter for his position, and can also score down low. But, Towns has been injury prone and with him only playing 35 games this season, we have not see so much action from him. If Towns can stay healthy and keep that natural talent of a guard/center hybrid, then he might take the Timberwolves to deep playoff runs in the future.

#1 – Devin Booker
Phoenix Suns – #13 Pick

Booker was very easily the steal of the draft, almost missing the lottery. Booker had a solid rookie season before exploding into that lethal scorer that we know him now to be. Booker has been improving his game each year, and his scoring abilities have been compared to Kobe Bryant. Booker is still young and has lots to improve on, but he has a bright future ahead of him.

This season, Booker is averaging 26.1 points and 6.6 assists. He is shooting 48.7% from the field and 36.0% from 3.

Although Booker’s talent has been overlooked because of his situation, the talent is obviously there. Booker has a lethal ability to score the ball, and he is only 23 right now. He is still far from his prime and has lots more to grow.
